skirtful of squash
One of these years, I will sew for myself some gardening smocks with pockets. In the meantime, here's what I harvested from the back yard this afternoon between dances:

The patch didn't show any ill effects from a deer prancing around in it before breakfast. Then again, those shells are tough.
The BYM: Why is there a mallet on the kitchen counter?

Tiredness gauge: I was making squash bread last night, and poured the batter into the bundt pan, and kinda wondered why it didn't look like much . . . and a few minutes later realized that I'd forgotten to incorporate the squash. DERP.

So the spouse is saying just because its sharp and cuts through stuff it doesn't necessarily go into the knife drawer? I guess that's a defensible stance.
